The latest from Chile

Today is a great day. We had our first sampling of rain since I arrived in late October. It is starting to cool down here a bit. I understand when the rains come, they come with a vengeance. It is still beautiful and green here, but it has been a very long time since it has rained.

The best part of today is that I just received the exciting news that my next grandchild will be a little boy. Emily, Peter and Dean are very excited about the new little brother who will join their family.

I am posting a few of my most recent pictures. They are at the temple which is only a few blocks from where I live and at the recently renovated chapel where we meet every Sunday. We had baptisms at the church a few weeks ago and more recently one more. The young man and his family we are with at the temple is one of our office volunteers at the Republica Employment office. He was recently called to Argentina on a mission. As you can see he is a very happy young man!

I also got a shot of the Andes from the office I work in at Vitacura. Somedays it is harder to see them. This was a little clearer. Two of our interns at Vitacura and Hermana Mehew and I just went to an art museum and I am posting a few shots from that trip also.

I hope this will get me up to date a little and then perhaps I can back track some and let you know many of the other things I have been doing here in Santiago. Until then Chao as they say for goodbye here in chile.
